Printing W-2s and 1099s

The links below are to zip archive files containing custom 1099 and W-2 forms for customers experiencing alignment issues when printing 1099s and W-2s from AccountEdge Pro 2012 and AccountEdge Network Edition 2012. To install these forms, download the appropriate archive, then double-click to extract the folder of custom forms. From the extracted folder, drag the files to your Custom Forms folder, which by default is located in your AccountEdge Support folder (Documents/AccountEdge Pro 2012 US folder for AccountEdge Pro 2012 Mac and Windows, or the Documents/AccountEdge NE 2012 US for AccountEdge Network Edition 2012).

W-2s
If you're not using the Prepare Payroll Forms function to print W-2s on plain paper, and instead using the preprinted internal W-2s printing, some fields do not align with the new preprinted W-2s forms. The enclosed custom forms have been updated for the 2011 W-2s.

To ensure proper alignment in the future, it's recommended you switch to the newer Prepare Payroll Tax Forms, which allows you to print on plain, perforated paper, as well as e-filing the W-2s. Although the older Print W-2s (from the Command Centers menu) is still available, this will be phased out in the future.

1099-MISC
The 1099 printed form has been updated for proper alignment of fields. If your fields are not lining up, you can use these custom 1099 and 1096 forms.
