Customize Checks to Show Debits

Occasionally you will receive credit from vendors (called debit memos), and you will apply those debit memos to open bills. For information on how to create these debit memos see this article. When you print checks and stubs for the balance of the bills, you will want to display the debit memos on the check stubs. You can display this information by customizing a check template, adding one of the following fields to the stub

Invoice Debit Memos
This field, which is displayed as a column on the check stub, will display just the amount of the debit memo that was applied to a bill. You will need to indicate the column name with a Text field.
Invoice Debit Memos with Labels
This field, which is displayed as a column on the check stub, will display the amount of the debit memo that was applied to a bill. The amount will be prefaced with the letters DM to indicate it was a debit memo. You will need to indicate the column name with a Text field.
