Requires Payroll Module

The Payroll Module of AccountEdge is required to open this window

This message is displayed when attempts are made to access any function within the Payroll or Time Billing modules, or enter Timesheets from the Time Billing module. The cause is incorrect file permissions.

To correct the issue

• Close out of AccountEdge
• Verify the current login ID had Admin privileges. Click on the Accounts icon in System Preferences. The current login will be highlighted, and will show its privilege level. It must be Admin.
• In a Finder window, navigate to Macintosh HD/Application/AccountEdge 2011 (v11)/
• Right click (or ctrl + click) the application AccountEdge and choose Show Package Contents
• Right click (or ctrl + click) the Contents folder and choose Get info
• Verify the permissions of the contents folder are:
  • User – Read & Write (Needs to be the name of the person with Admin privileges, who is logged into the Mac.)
  • Admin – Read & Write
  • Everyone – Read Only
• After verifying permissions are set correctly, click the action button (looks like a gear) at the bottom of the Get Info window, and choose apply to enclosed items. This will apply the correct permissions to all files within this folder.

AccountEdge will behave correctly after the permissions are corrected
