Reasons a file will fail confirmation
Note: the Activation / Confirmation process was removed from the product beginning with the 2010 version (US). Therefore, upgrading will, obviously, also remedy any Activation or Confirmation issue.
There are predominately three reasons why a file will not confirm:
- You are using a different version of the softwaer than what we
have registered in our records. We check version number, platform,
and product. For example if you have Mac serial number and you try
and confirm it on a Windows machine it will not work.
- If your system clock is on the wrong date you can not
confirm.
- If you try to confirm too many times it will lock you out. For example if your system clock is wrong and you try to confirm 4 times and then fix the system date you will be locked out.
