Timetracker & MacOS 7 User Screen
Is there a compatibility issue with Mac 10.7 Lion and using timetracker? One of my users' machines is 10.7.2 and, although the user can sign in via the web browser, the + Activity Slip button is not there and no activity slips can be posted. Tried with Safari and Firefox.

Brett
I am not able to replicate your issue using a Lion computer. Are you able to clear the cookies and cache on this computer and try again?
If the issue still persists can you upload a screen shot so I can see what it looks like?

I checked the Lion machine again and the screen properly loaded using both Safari and Firefox. I suppose the cache and cookies cleared up by itself over the course of a couple of days and restarts in the normal process.
Thanks for the reply.

This same thing happened to one of our users a couple of weeks ago. The option to + Activity Slip was not available. She was able to log her time using the Timesheet mode. She was using Firefox OS 10.6. The issue has resolved itself for this user.

Hi Brett and Tracey,
Good chance the user didn't have their browser window set to full screen, if you make the browser window a tad too small, everything moves left and the +Act Slip button disappears , hence (I think) this is why Tracey reports the "issue has resolved itself".
If that is not the case, please let us know and we'll talk to our developers on this one.

Actually, I have noted it happening on at least one of my staff's computers running 10.6 after the initial install using Safari. No problem with access using Firefox on the same computer, but Safari would not show the + Activity Slip button, even after clearing the cache and quitting/restarting the browser. It seems to be an initial setup issue rather than ongoing, however.

Scott & Todd,
I did instruct my staff to try to use Time Tracker rather than Accountedge for a few days to see how it works for them and get feedback for you. We will have a staff meeting to discuss their experiences next Weds and will get back with you then. They have mentioned a number of things to me already, but I want to put together a list of comments and observations to get to you after meeting with the group (basically, eight users).

Awesome. You have us at the early stages of development, so we're all ears. Looking forward to your feedback...
Maybe we can even set up a call?

I went over the Time Tracker use with my staff Wednesday morning and have summarized their comments and concerns below:
Customer Name: No one likes the set up where you need to remember and enter the customer's first name on an activity slip. We are accustomed to entering by last name first and use of the Time Tracker on an ongoing, everyday, basis is not practical when the set up and auto-complete is based on the customer first name.
Time Keeping: A number of problems have been reported with the time keeping function: difficulty in adding more time to an activity slip that has been saved (it tends to erase the prior time on the slip and start over); several reports of maybe being logged out of Time Tracker by the website and when Submit is clicked, the activity slip is not recorded, it is lost and the employee needs to sign in again and fill out the activity slip all over again; not able to adjust how the time is kept (it seems to be on a minute basis when we bill in 1/10th of an hour basis (6 minute increments and round up).
Non-Chargeable Activity results in an error: We keep time records of services to clients (customers), some of which are set up as a $0 charge. Using Accountedge, the activity is recorded, shows on the customer's invoice but with a $0 charge. Doing this using Time Tracker results in a sync error and the activity description is not synced.
For the time being we will stick to using Time Tracker for after-hours reporting rather than regular use due to the issues listed above. Basically, it is a good idea (Time Tracker), but not practical for everyday use at this time.
It would be very helpful if I was able to set defaults for customer name (last name first) and billing increments as the admin. There are bugs with using the clock that create a risk that activity slips get lost.
