Profit and Loss report

I am trying to display a profit & loss statement from January 01, 2011 to December 31, 2011. Everytime I choose the period, it defaults back to only one month. Can anyone give me any advice on how to change this? Thanks!

    When running your profit and loss you can customize the report. Once you have customized it for the date range you want to run it for and then save this report as a custom report.
    Note: If you would like this to appear inside of your Reports drop down menu you have the option to add this to reports menu inside of your finishing tab.
