Do a search for all files that have an extension of myo. It will display where your files are.

I can find my company file, but I can't get myob to recognize it and open it. I even unzipped the last backup file, but I can't get 15.0.4 NE to recognize it and open it.

It sounds to me like you may be trying to open the backup file by clicking your open button. Could you try browsing for your backup file?
