linked account for tax collected

HI,

I am having problems with tax collected. We are using this package in Singapore where GST or VAT is applicable.

When a sale is entered, the tax is posted to the "linked account for tax collected" account. That is great. However, when we enter a purchase the tax is not posted to the "linked account for tax collected". The tax element just goes to Accounts Payable. Is there a way round this?

    Hi, This is the correct behavior for the US version. There is no way to have AccountEdge generate different entries for purchases. The Sales Tax Detail report (under Sales) will show tax paid on purchases. You can determine the tax paid from that report
