Error 9998 in IMRProcessEvents (1143:2003:21)

I get the following error

MYOB Premier must terminate
Termination Code: 1244
Important Details: Error 9998 in IMRProcessEvents (1143:2003:21)

Windows XP
MYOB Premier Acctg v17

    I am also experiencing this problem. I would like to know how to solve this immediately. It is becoming very annoying. I noticed it happened after ever message appeared "Wireless network is now connected". It is the Termination Code; 1244 Error 9998.

    If you are getting an Error -9998 or Error -9999, that would be a Networking Error. You will need to make sure that your network is set up properly. We do have a Network Implementation Guide that you can follow on our Support Library.

    hi there, im having the exact same issue, however im not running my myob files off a server, its on my local machine. i have just swapped the company over from the laptops to the new desktops, my computer is the only one thats coming up with this error though.

    can anyone please help me

    You will need to to follow the Implementation Guide attached below to make sure your how you have your file networked is set up properly:

    I fixed it, I wasn’t paying attention to the first screen that comes up, for someone like me u just select single user and it doesn’t crash

    I am getting this error every time I print. We have just installed a new printer, and when I print the report is successful, but MYOB terminates.
    What can I do to fix this?

    Typically the error 9998 references a network error. Could I have you first optimize your company file and then verify it to see if its related to a file corruption. If not errors are received I would need more information.
    eg. Where is the file located, is the printer attached to your computer, how many users are logging in, does this happen with anyone else.

    I verified and then optimised....still got error. Changed login to TCP -
    problem solved, yay :)
