This file appears to be corrupt. If you are not able to optimize it, then you can either restore your last good backup or you can send the file in for repairs. You will need to contact a support Rep to arrange this.

I have a 3 station license. 2 stations work fine. Yesterday, when I tried to logon the 3rd station gave me the error message:

    myob termination code 1233
    Error 3000
    DMBegin Transaction
    5049:7000:527

I am using the same company file (on our server) for the 3 stations. I also uninstalled and reinstalled myob on 2 new computers and get the same error message.

Have you optimized the file? Does it verify? Each station has the same MYOB release version?

    1. Yes. I optimized the file.

I also uninstalled MYOB. Uninstalled/reinstalled windows XP professional and then reinstalled MYOB.

      2. Yes. They are all v12 (6.5.1)

In this scenario, aren't I entitled to free tech support?

You server should have backed up your previous verisons of the company file.

In windows explorer find your corrupted company file.

Right click on it and select properties

Then select the previous versions tab then you can restore the data from the previous time the server saved it without having to have run a back up through MYOB

James 1 - Thanks for you help on that previous issue. Turns out all that was caused by the desktop shortcut not having the right path.

I'm now in a similar situation. I was practicing how to restore MYOB should our entire office network fail.

    1. I backed up our comapny file to a flash drive.
    2. I installed MYOB Plus v12 on a standalone laptop.
    3. I assumed that I would be able to point MYOB to the backed up file and I would be up and running.

    4. At the step where it asks me to logon I get the dreaded.

    myob termination code 1233
    Error 3000
    DMBegin Transaction
    5049:7000:527

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Found the solution in another thread.

    1. Open the sample company.

    2. And then point to the backed up file.

I learned this the slow painful way....
