I just purchased my own version of AccountEdge after trying a downloaded version on the internet. I loaded it on my computer and when I went to register my copy, it tells me it cannot do so. It needs an Administrator password. When I launch the program, it still tells me I have only a trial version and need to register within 30 days. HELP! I did purchase the real version (for $299) and it's not letting me access things like the most current tax tables without registering. What do I need to do?

    Hi Beth:

Sorry that you're having a problem - that message is typically encountered when trying to register the program on OS X 10.7 Lion. Here's a link to an FAQ that explains how to resolve this particular issue:

    http://support.accountedge.com/kb/most-popular/mac-os-x-107-lion-co...

It can also sometime be a permissions issue - there's a link towards the bottom of the FAQ that links to a permissions issue FAQ.

    Regards
    Michelle

    Thanks, that seemed to work!
