Auto-Build Items Troubleshooting
When I try to record and auto-build items transaction, the cursor gets stuck in the date box and won't let me click record. Is there a fix for this?

Hello Quintez,
In the Auto-Build Items transaction window, there is no date field. Perhaps you are referring to the general Build Items window that is generated after you select and an item to be auto-built? Nonetheless, I do not know of any issue with the cursor being stuck. For me, I can just hit the tab key or click into any other field to move the cursor away. More importantly, I can just click on Record to accept the transaction.

Question about sales discounts. . .how are they recorded? When I look through the sales journal I can see the transaction for a sale, but no transaction for the discount; and the discount given account is empty.

Hello Quintez,
The software doesn't track a straight discount or % discount on the product. Honestly, I haven't heard the suggestion before so I'll be sure to pass it on. My recommendation would be that instead of discounting the products themselves, create a discount item in your Items List that you sell. Then, you can add -1 discount items to any sale and put the discount amount you'd like. This will give you the ability to then see what the total of discounts given is. You could set the "Income Account for Tracking Sales" to a COGS account. I'm not positive on if this is best practices for accounting so you may want to just have your accountant OK that.
