Data file upgrade? AccountEdge 2007 to AccountEdge Basic (v1)

I have AccountEdge 2007, Release 11.1.0H, running on my MacBook Pro, I'm using OS 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro.

I downloaded the AccountEdge Basic 30-day trial (AccountEdge Basic v1 for Macintosh, USA version 1 Build 15.1.2A). In its opening screen there's a Company File Maintenance pull down, I selected upgrade FirstEdge company file. That launched the AccountEdge Basic Upgrade Assistant (Release 15.1.1B)

When I selected my data file, I got the error message "The file you have selected to upgrade is not a recognized data file.

How can I upgrade my AccountEdge 2007 data file to work with AccountEdge Basic?

    After trying out AccountEdge Basic a bit, it's not going to work for me. I'm going to try the trial of AccountEdge Pro and see if that will.

    So, I don't need an answer to this question.

    Just so you know, te AccountEdge Basic application can not open an AccountEdge data file.
