Time billing invoice

When I create a time billing invoice the client I have selected does not show up in the invoice, neither name or address. My business name does show up but not my address. This information does show up if I make a service invoice or a quote. Also I too would like to enter my own invoice number to correspond with the numbers already in use in accountedge

I'm looking forward to using this app but Until I figure out how to correct these issues I can't.

Thanks, Rob

I'm not sure I follow you with the Time Billing Invoice issue. When you create any type of Sale Transaction, the Sales screen shows your Customer Name & Address. The Customer Address will not show on a Time Billing Transaction because at this time there is no option to add in items to it. The Address field listed on Service & Item Transactions is designed for the Shipping Address.

As for the invoice numbering system, in AccountEdge Mobile, the first invoice will start with #1 and increment as you create new transactions. Unfortunately there is no way to edit the Transaction # but we are looking for ways to improve how AccountEdge Mobile handles invoice numbering.

Ok so you are saying the time billing feature is not available fully as yet? I am actually billing for services but the service invoice does not calculate totals, so I use time billing; I enter the amount of days and an activity (not an item) so that it automatically totals. I am not understanding why my address and the client name and address would not show up on the invoice.

My scenario for this app is to create invoices on the iPad, email them to my clients and sync back to my bookkeeper who has my account edge file.

    Hopefully this clarifies things, Rob

I'm not sure what you mean by the Service Invoice not calculating totals. If you have 3 Line Items of $100 each, the total for that Invoice would be $300. Do you have a screenshot of this issue occurring on your end or perhaps the PDF of the Sale when it is recorded in AEM?

Time Billing currently works for Activities only. When you are emailing a Time Billing Invoice it should show your Company Name and Address on there since it pulls from your Company Information window from AccountEdge Desktop. Would you be able to attach the PDF of this as well? The reason why the Customer Address is not displayed on the PDF is because you normally wouldn't be shipping Activities to your customers. This is similar to AccountEdge Desktop if you have the preference "I Include Items on Time Billing Invoices" unchecked.

Ok for calculating totals I mean for each activity, across the line. For example I use activities for mileage - I enter the amount of mileage under units, choose the activity "mileage" which has the amount per km and it automatically totals, this saves me time.

I can see I am not using your software how you envision it, but I am adapting to its limitations for what I need.

I understand you would not ship activities to a client but if you are time-billing you are billing a client, and when I invoice a client, they need to see their company name and address on the invoice. So what I need is a Bill To: field in a time billing invoice.

I have been using MYOB for many years, and all of this was and is still manageable in MYOB, so I was hoping the mobile app would work with how I have MYOB setup.

I am just giving feedback btw, hoping with simple tweaks I can make this work for me, it looks to me that MYOB is geared to larger companies.

Thank you for your feedback, it will definitely help us improve AccountEdge Mobile for the future. I will pass along your suggestions to the developers for future releases.

Currently the Activity Slip Section does not have a Total Field, it is something that has been mentioned to the developers. On the other hand on a Time Billing transactions, there is an Amount Field that calculates the Hrs/Units Column multiplied by the Rate Column.

Yes and as I said above that is why I use time billing, because it multiplies the hrs/units by rate column(i just didn't say it as clearly), but the clients name and address does not appear on the mobile app when using time billing so I can't use it.
