New Cards in Account Edge Mobile
Does anyone have the problem of the account edge mobile app not doing anything when you try to create a new card? I fill in all the fields and press done and nothing happens.

Are you using the sample data? I believe with the sample data that you can't really save any new transactions or list items like contacts. However I did notice that it doesn't take you back to the list when you click Done after creating a new contact like it does when you create a new sale.
If you're looking to try it out beyond the sample data, if you have AccountEdge (US version), connect it to your dropbox account (get a free account) and sync your Widgets sample company file to the dropbox and then sync it to AccountEdge Mobile. You'll then be able to create contacts, sales, etc and sync it back to the Widgets sample company in AccountEdge. If you don't have AccountEdge yet, pick up the free trial which is good for 30 days.

I have purchased the full version. That's exactly my issue though, not being able to create a new card. Why does it say new card and let you select done if it doesn't do anything?

Sorry. Just wanted to confirm that this is an issue when you haven't entered your Dropbox credentials and device ID... and are clicking Launch Demo when you first open AE Mobile. If this is the case, it's a bug with the demo data.

I too am unable to create new customer cards in Accountedge Mobile. I've currently gone as far and wiping out all my mobile data by unlinking Accountedge from Dropbox, going into Dropbox and deleting the entire Accountedge folder and setting up again from scratch.
On my iPhone, I did a force sync to wipe out all the original data and download the new data on Dropbox.
When I go to Lists/Cards and tap the "New Card" button, it allows me to enter all the normal card info and there is a "Done" button at the top right. When pressing the "Done" button, nothing happens. Accountedge Mobile just sits there. If I select another section of the app, it works fine. When I select "Lists" again, it goes back to the main Card list WITHOUT my new card.
I have been fighting with this for months, but do not have to create new cards very often and have been dealing with having to create the new cards on my computer instead, but it's very frustrating trying to enter expenses on my mobile device when the card is not already in my file. Therefore I can't enter that expense and it has to wait until I get back to my office.

Can you perhaps post a screenshot of the New Card window?
When Creating a new Card, do you have the Company Toggle set as On or Off?

I get the same results whether the company toggle is on or off. It also doesn't matter whether I select customer, vendor, or other.
Screenshot attached.

What version of the Mobile App are you using? Can you remove the app and reinstall it from the App Store? I have not seen that happen before. When Creating a new card with AEM the required fields is just the First/Last Name.
What version of the iPhone do you have?
What version of the iOS is your current iPhone? (This can be found if you are on the Home Screen-> Settings-> General-> About-> Version

Accountedge mobile is v1.4.
I have tried totally removing the app a couple of times previously. When I have problems like this I usually try all those things immediately, before contacting support to help eliminate additional support time.
This is an iPhone 4 and I have had the same problem on all versions of iOS for the iPhone 4 since I installed account edge mobile around February of this year. I am currently at version 4.3.2 and have not yet updated to the newer releases.
I have another iPhone 4 that is on version 4.3.1 of iOS and has the exact same problem. We have tried the same troubleshooting on that one as well. This iPhone started using accountedge mobile when it was at iOS 4.1 while I believe mine was already at 4.3.0 at the time.

What is the Device name you created in AccountEdge Desktop?
If you do not mind, can you try replicating this in the Widgets Sample Company File? If you were to go to the Widgets, link it with the current DropBox information that you have now but create a new Device. (calling it Test) Once created, can you log into your device created from Widgets and try to create a new card?
You can get into Widgets Sample Company File by launching the AccountEdge Software. From the Welcome Screen (where you see Open, Browse, Create, & Explore). Select Explore. The User ID is Administrator and leave the Password field blank.

Ok! Here's the deal.
First, my original device name was: "ckoepf iphone" (with the space) The mobile app allowed it and wouldn't allow a hyphen.
Per your request, I tried everything with the widgets company file and named the device: "test"
I then synced everything on both ends, tried adding a new customer and it worked.
So I immediately went back and tried my original company file seeing the difference in the device name having a space in it.
I changed the device name to: "ckoepfiphone" (no space)
synced again, tried again and it worked.
The problem was the space in the device name.

I'm glad that worked for you. Does that work on your other devices as well?
I'll pass that along to the Developers and go into further investigation as far as why the space caused the issue. Thank you for your patience.

Yes, this does work on the other iPhone too. It was definitely the space in the device name that caused the problem.
