Is it possible to enter purchases in Accountedge Mobile and have the entry show up under purchases in Accountedge and not disbursements? I would like to enter invoices on my iphone as they come into our restaurant.

    Unfortunately that is not a feature available in AccountEdge Mobile at this moment. We do appreciate any feedback given from users of the Mobile Application on how to improve it.

    As of right now you can only create Spend Money Transactions.

    Thanks for the response. As the purchase tab is one of the main tabs in Accountedge I hope to see it's inclusion in the app soon.

    Just a little input for accountedge mobile. I need to see all invoices past & present. I need tobe able to create items in the field. In the customer card I Need to create equipment lists with model numbers & serial numbers with additional equipment info. I know it is a tall order, but it must be do-able!

    I service Heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, & restaurant equipment. I Want to be able to create POs & invoices in the field which sometimes requires purchasing parts in the field. Then creating an invoice. I would then have the customer sign the invoice (requires signature capture) Next the ability to print the invoice &/or email it. The ability to add equipment to customers Card would be excellent as well

    At this time there is no method of adding in Purchases in the Mobile App. We do appreciate the feedback and I'll pass it along to the Developers.

    I'd love to see Purchases on the AccountEdge Mobile App too. It's probably the one tab that I use the most. I installed and upgraded my software today and was very excited to try the app on my iPhone with the 2011 upgrade...until I realized that I can't enter purchases.

    Regards,
    Andrea

    Please ask the developers! Entering purchases on the road and on set would be invaluable. All those little travel receipts could be entered at the airline gate waiting to board--no more coming home with piles of receipts to add to the pile of stuff on my desk the first day back. In my case, entering from a choice of recurring purchases would be truly ideal. I no longer travel with a laptop, just an iPad.

    Hi Susan,

    Thanks for the feedback on this. It is something we have in mind to do in the future, but I don't have a timeline for it.

    For now, here is a creative solution you could try;
    Setup a new "2-xxxx" GL account in your Accounts List as a Credit Card type account and sync it. In AEM, using Spend Money, enter your expenses and when you select the "Pay from Account" just select the account you just setup and charge it to whatever expense you've incurred. You may want to use a different check # sequence, perhaps the number from the travel receipts. When you are ready to write the actual check on the desktop, instead of selecting the Expense (which you already captured above on your iPad/iPhone), just select the temporary credit card account you setup. In effect, you'd be using this new account as a temporary A/P account. Just a thought...
